The Federation is currently involved in several program initiatives, all with the general purpose of informing, teaching and encouraging our fellow Canadian Anglicans in the work of understanding and recovering classic orthodox Anglican Christianity, “the faith once for all handed down to the saints”.
Windsor Forum 2007
The Federation is actively supporting an exciting teaching initiative recently announced by the principal of Wycliffe College, Toronto School of Theology, Reverend Dr. George Sumner. Dr. Sumner indicated, in a recent interview with the Federation, that the project would be called “The Windsor Forum” and that its purpose would be to develop both a website and also a DVD that can be used by both individuals and groups, each providing in-depth teaching about the content and significance of the Windsor Report. Dr. Sumner explained, “We'd like this to be a gift to the church at large to promote theological awareness and to promote the coherence of the church and to help the church at this particular moment in its history.”
The Federation Council is endorsing this project and plans to utilize its materials in planning for a cross-country “Windsor Forum” event for Federation groups across Canada. More information about this event will be available here as planning takes shape.
